“Supper at Emmaus” 1612 by Cornellis Engelszen 1575-1650 (153x102cm). Glenn had restored this painting some years earlier, thinking at the time, it would be a difficult subject to copy. The client needed to raise funds (again!) so he sold the original to Norwich Museum for £209,000. Glenn heard through the grapevine that when the curators of the museum saw his copy they couldn’t tell the difference between it and the original. Maybe the owners of his acrylic ‘masterpiece’ bought a stable for their horse.
