During his long period as a freelance picture restorer, Glenn mastered many traditional painting techniques. It was therefore a natural step for him to move into copying paintings. Here are some examples of the work he has executed over the years.
The selection of work seen here has been carried out using acrylic under-painting overlaid with glazing techniques. The red ground used in the preliminary stages of a work helps to add luminescence to shadows and gives a certain vibrancy to greens. It also aids in blending half tones especially in the dark areas of a painting.
