THE HERALD SOLO (guitar composition 1971)

Here I am, taking a break from restoring. It’s just a few steps away from the easel to the guitar cave. I’m playing this on my Garrison, which has since been stolen. It’s been replaced by a Martin 000-18. Needing a bit more cheering up I decided to commission a Fylde acoustic. Hopefully, that should be ready for collection at the end of the year.

  1. Hi Glenn,
I’m so glad I’ve found this!
I’m somewhere between a beginner and an intermediate guitar player. This solo is pretty far far beyond my physical capabilities (that reach is impressive!), but it is a big inspiration to me.

I thought I’d take the time to tell you this, and that I’m making this a goal of mine to be able to play this solo with SOME degree of finesse by this time next year.

PS, It was great to see you work in restoration! I’ve always thought that would be an interesting job.
